[mythtv] LiveTV creates empty file

well, let say that it's always been like that.

A dummy recording is sometimes created, which gets deleted later.

Problem is that when the frontend attempts to read that file, it adds
extra delay.

This problem was the reason why I made a change to the backend so it
would abort early when trying to read a 0 byte file.

But that caused issue for 3rd party clients who do not handle properly
the backend returning an error, and abort completely.

so I've reverted those changes in fixes/0.27 and it's now only in master

no that's the transition between reading from the buffer, and reading
from the file
