None of the above... (-;

One of them is very similar to one of the ones I want to look at this weekend
though... It is, according to my initial tests, a problem with multi-lines strings
which have \n in them.

As far as I could tell the \n gets converted to a LF in the .ts files but when MythTV
tries to look it up it looks like it's looking for \n (a backslash and a "n").

I knew the problem affected Arclight (it was reported by Gilles one of my fellow
French language translation team member) but it looks like it's not limited to
Arclight...

Right now I am hesitating between replacing the \n in the themes with real new lines
(which I'm not yet convinced would be such a great idea) or converting at least some
escape sequences (\n for example would be converted to LF) before trying to look it
up. What I am afraid of here though is unexpected side effects of doing that...

This one is, as far as I can tell, the problem I described above.

2 and 3 are as far as I can tell the same problem but 3 is, as far as I can tell by
looking at the files, MythBuntu specific.

What I think (I have not tested it yet) is causing the problem with 2 is the same
problem as 3 but what is causing the problem is not at the same place in 2 and 3 (the
y are at the two "extremes"... (-;

I haven`t tested my hunch though so I could be wrong...

Change yout theme, my guess is the 3rd problem would disappear...

The other translation problems I'm looking at right now are:

- Translation problems of the icon import stuff (this will add new strings to
translate as there is no code in place to translate some of the sentences so they are
not currently extracted.

- Mytharchive theme descriptions are not translatable. The problem here is that the
info comes from small text files on the disk. I have already a patch for this but I
am not fully satisfied with it as I don't find it "scalable" enough... (-; This
problem was reported by Gilles, one of my fellow French language translation team
member. What I want to do here is make them translatable using the .ts files...

- The ISO-639 language table (used in the setup screens) is not translatable. The
problem I'm appréhending here is that with the number of entries to translate in
order to populate these lists it might take too much time before they appear. This
was also reported by Gilles. This one is at the bottom of the pile of the problems I
want to correct though because of its limited use.

Have a nice day!

Nick
