HTML can scale in this way because you can scroll the page, it doesn't matter
if increasing the font size pushes lots of things off the bottom of the
screen. No-one is going to put up with a media centre which works that way,
it's never, ever going to happen.
The solution is simple, if you don't like the font sizes (or something else)
in any existing themes, then create a new theme which suites you. It might be
a little work, but you end up with something that works for you and that's the
whole point of theming in the first place.
