The complexity in getting a backtrace is not harder then backporting a
major feature. But it is more invasive of a running system.

git-svn/stgit and their ilk make this totally painless. Just yesterday
I rebased against trunk and it took me all of 15 minutes. My current
stack of patches is about 100 patches deep right now, some depending
heavily on other patches in the stack.
