Thanks for your response, Bruce. I've really been pulling my hair out.
Funny thing is, about 2 hours ago, my Cable box (Motorola 6200) went
dead, and I could not get it to power back on. I disconnected it for a
period of time, and reconnected it, at which time I finally got it to
start back up. Lo and behold, things seem to be running better now.
I've not had another instance of the long strings of ASK_RECORDING at
all today, although sometimes paging through the program guide has been
a bit sluggish. I'll just keep watching it to see if it happens again.
