[mythtv] Multiproto_api_merge?

Has someone been able to get MythTV (preferably the 21.1-fixes branch) 
to work with Manu Abraham's "multiproto_api_merge" hg?

The very popular .5.patch file doesn't work anymore (even though it 
applies ok)
