I've been thinking of something related recently.  I have a MCE remote
that has an small LCD panel on it [1]  and would like to be able to
have it display more information than what mythmusic even displays
right now: last song & artist, plus the current song & artist, and
next song & artist.  Being able to browse the music tree by various
artists, change play lists, etc, would be ideal.  I've taken a cursory
glance and don't see an easy way to get mythmusic to provide any of
those details except current song.  Any pointers would be appreciated.

[1] More info on the remote for those interested: it is a Dell WJ151,
which comes with the Dell M2010 computer.  It requires a semi-custom
receiver, that you can buy direct from Dell.  Arrow and number buttons
worked out of the box on Ubuntu 8.04.  Haven't had the time to see
what it takes to get the other buttons mapped.  Details on the
