I have one of these, buying it was one of the biggest mistakes of my
life!
The VIA website claims to have both open and closed source drivers. 
The website is a mess, and many of the links point to an empty document.
The open source option doesn't compile because of (amongst other things)
a lot of the paths in the scripts are wrong.

You can get the disc driver to compile with a bit of light editing, I
use it for listening to internet radio only.
