I got a reply from Hans Verkuil. Whether these are supported
depends on what firmware revision you use. With older firmware
these options are supported, but Hauppage dropped support in
later releases of the firmware. Since the latest drivers only
work with relatively recent firmware these options have been
dropped in bleeding edge drivers, and will only work in the
older drivers if you use the correct firmware.

As for the other modes.. VCD works if you set the horizontal
resolution manually, and the DVD ones appear to work.
