I grabbed svn r13265 twice.  First copy I compiled with no other
patches applied.  Second copy I compiled with only 3031-dbg-2.patch
applied.

I installed the non-patched version first.  It took 19 attempts to get
it to fail.

I installed the patched version and attempted to make it fail 115
times.  It did not.

I re-installed the non-patched version.  This time it only took 6
attempts to get it to fail.

I am attaching two logs.  One is the result of the failure.  The other
is an example from one of the patched attempts.
