[mythtv] Slow keyboard annoyance

Well, just to put in my two sense, I've been seeing these sorts of problems
for a long time now. I've always thought it was lirc but just yesterday I
ran ircat against all of my settings are they indeed do exactly as I expect.
My solution was to stop using MythTV's internal lirc support and go back to
using irxevent. It doesn't fix the problem entirely but almost.

My machine is an AMD 3200+ with an NVidia 5700 using one step from the
latest version NVidia drivers. This is a frontend machine only. My other
frontend is uses an MX440 on an AMD @ 1.3ghz seems to have no problems with
keystrokes.

I'm not suggesting anyone look into this or that it's a problem with MythTV.
I'm only stating that I've seen it as well.
