 Sorry about that. I tested it on DVD's, recordings from PVRcards as well as 
DVB recordings without any errors before I commited it.

 As an FYI the garbaged I was seeing were all on Commercial DVD's.
"x"'s mixed in throughout the text. I saw that the original code came from 
libspucc and saw that current xine had a parity check so I brought it over.


 After 0.20 I'll look to get rid of it.
