Hmmm - I get interesting differences of behaiviour doing things that way :-(
Using mythfrontend and navigating the mneus I get the following fault in
the xorg server:
mythtv: via_context.c:246: calculate_buffer_parameters: Assertion
`fb->Attachment[BUFFER_BACK_LEFT].Renderbuffer' failed.
Switching from 'via XvMC' as the preferred playback method to 'libmpeg2'
that error goes away and I can play DVDs (with a lot of stuttering) OK.
Still using 'libmpeg2' but started up the playback using "mythtv dvd:\\" I
get the original xorg error - I guess it doesn't consult the database
settings correctly.
Clues as to where to go from here? It doesn't look as though a traceback
is going to be very useful if its X that fails!
