[mythtv] Window border started appearing in recent cvs

I have been a bit behind for a while, but just updated to latest cvs 
after a couple of months out of action.  Now I find that when I go into 
live tv (or playback recordings) I get a border around the playback 
window and hence it's squished up and left a bit chopping off the top 
left corner.

I am using FVWM for lightness, and not sure how to hack it to work 
around this. 

Any suggestions why it's started appearing now?  Any suggestions on a 
quick workaround?
