In order for this to apply for Live TV, one would need to change the
browse mode for Live TV as well. That's the only situation where it
makes sense. It doesn't make sense that simply entering a channel
number would switch to a different input (at least not to me) because
you don't see what you are actually changing to. The reason it works
in the EPG is because you see a particular program that you'd like to
see, and you select it and it changes.
However, if this is something that other developers/users feel is a
good thing, I can certainly look into it.
