Thanks Taylor for your response. I followed your steps again and still
couldn't get motor control working...
Here's what I did (with screen shots).
1. General
Nothing applicable to setup here for DVB
2. Capture cards
My Nexus-S card (note I also have a PVR-250 as source 1)
http://zener.com/~jonese/mythtv/card-setup.png
I've selected v1.3 Positioner (Goto X) and I believe that means USALS
support.
In Advance Configuration / Diseqc Options:

I have my approximate Lat and Long (Calgary, Alberta, Canada).
3. Video Sources
http://zener.com/~jonese/mythtv/source-setup.png
I didn't select any fields as there is no useful DataDirect setup for
this satellite/service.
4. Input connections
I go into my first input of the DVB lines

Then I setup the satellite I wish to view (123W, Galaxy 10R)

Not sure what Starting channel to put in as I don't have any satellite
channels as of yet
5. Channel Editor
Go into Advanced and setup the transponder I'm wanting.

Go into Scan for channels, select Existing Transport Scan and select the
transport I just entered.

Hit Next
Another screen showing Tuning with no change options

... and random signal levels for about 30 seconds and finally...
2005-01-27 19:44:15.629 DVB#0 WARNING - Status: NO LOCK!
Why the no lock? Cause the motor didn't move to 123W (Galaxy 10R) and
it's just poiting into free space ;-)
If I manually move the dish the 123W and do the scan again, things start
to work and I get a few channels entered.
From the log above, there is no DiSEqC debug messags show any motor
control commands were sent (I should see those right?).
What I'm I doing wrong?
