Not sure about the correct "etiquette" but I would reopen 755, as it 
directly applies. I see that  as you say the original patch was designed 
for UK-DVB-T which had excellent 8 dat eit available, but mentions being 
useful for Australia, (when danielk applied it). As they generally have 
only now/next then this patch would be needed .
