No I don't.  Straight Xv only on MPEG2 (ivtv & air2pc) and MPEG4 (some
transcoded and some old bttv captures) files.

I'm not running current CVS, but mythcommflag should react the same
way whether run from within the JobQueue or manually from the
command-line.  I'm working on some flagging changes that I need to test
on my production systems and I can't upgrade my production systems
to current CVS yet, so I'm running CVS from about the day before the
display code changes.
