I'm also finding that the current CVS often hangs in HDTV live TV or 
playback when the OSD comes up.  It doesn't crash, but never seems to 
recover from the prebuffer pauses/ waiting for free video buffer, or 
advances only one frame at a time.  If I manage to exit the recording and 
re-start at the same point without any of the overlays on screen, it plays 
smoothly.   I don't think I saw this problem in straight 0.16.

2.6.7, pcHDTV HD-2000, Pentium 4 3 GHz, FX-5200, XvMC.
What other information would be helpful to debug?
