[mythtv] mythtv CVS Live Tv problems

Wondering if anyone else noticed a longer start time (than 0.16) for
seeing video from selecting Live Tv.

In 0.16 the video starts in about 3 seconds.  Now in CVS (Oct 25th),
it takes 10 seconds for the video to start after selecting Live TV.

Also when viewing video through XV, things show fine (though get A/V
sync issues -- debugging this in another thread), yet now when I
selected XvMC output and go into live tv, I get the frontend hanging
while showing a still tv image with an overlay message like

'Tuner 3' in the top left corner.

I've been switching back and forth to 0.16 and CVS, so maybe something
with the database?

Any ideas on these?

2.4.25, 2 pvr250s, ivtv rc1o, athlon 2000, FX-5200
