David, with these patches + the OSS define patch (plus a little manual
merging to resolve conflicts), I now have a seemingly unrelated
problem: when I try to switch tuner inputs while watching live TV, I
get kicked back out to the main menu.

Otherwise, I notice the audio doesn't drop out for a second every few
minutes or so anymore, which is a vast improvement over the prior
behavior. :)
