  This could always be an alternate view setting based on a config option,
Or just display it on the screen elsewhere?

 Why couldn't this be moved up to the top of the screen beside the
"Select a recording" line?

 While personally I don't care much about the individual episode size "most
of the time" I do like to know how much space is left on the system.
