Yep it's DVB.

I think you're on the right track. I'll start some debugging.
Our local TV networks have cancelled all their interesting programming
for the next two weeks (school holidays) leaving plenty of time for
hacking ;-)

For reference I'm using the i810 audio driver on an nForce2 motherboard.
