I've also seen this today, while working on refreshing the RingBuffer code 
(have it running as well without read-ahead as it was running with before),
but I assumed that it was something I did. When I stopped and restarted mythtv 
it was working fully again. I've also seen it sporadicly after that, so I 
guess something is not quite right somewhere.
