[mythtv] Channel change speed

As I've already seen referred on the list, look at ring buffer code. My
instalation also takes 2-3 seconds to change channels and I really ear
my disk trashing. If I leave mythtv (escape to mythfrontent menu), it
also takes 2-3 seconds trashing the disk.

I haven't yet looked at the code (nor looked at the file in the disk to
see its size growing/shrinking) but I think the problem is in there. If
you have a slow disk (like mine), you'll take too much time to truncate
the ring buffer.

The idea to not truncate the buffer when you change channels sounds nice
to me. I'd be glad to help you with this as soon as I have some free
time (maybe this weekend).
