[mythtv] RH9 gdb problems -- can't get backtrace

I'm having problems getting a backtrace on RH 9.

mythbackend is segfaulting whenever it tries to remove commericals.
This is on a EPIA M-100000 machine.

I have tried both gdb-5.3.90-0.20030710.21.i386.rpm and a recompile of
gdb 6.0.

Any suggestions?
