[mythtv] AC3 recording ?

Hi, I only found a post from december regarding this, so maybe time
to ask again...

I'm still new to mythtv - just got everything compiled and working and
haven't gotten around looking at the source yet - but I would like to be 
able
to record AC3 from my digital cable box and then be able to play it back.
Has anyone started working on that ? Whats the current status if so ?
