[mythtv] new epg, subtitles & i18n?

I've been testing the new epg. NICE.

I've just a couple of comments:

Subtitles:
Some xmltv grabbers can't provide "subtitle" information because the sources don't provide it. Title, Description and Category are very much common. 
If the Subtitle isn't present, the epg, manual recording, etc looks incomplete having always this empty field.
Currently I've patched my filldata.cpp to load category at subtitle column, that could be done if it fints it null. Could be that patch OK? Better ideas?

UI skins & internationalization:
I see now that all is a lot more skinneable. However I haven't seeing that when processing the xml is looking for any tag like "lang=xx" and a setting parameter. I'm right? Is that something that will shortly come because somebody is doing it or do we have to provide a patch?
