I've seen this as well, and it's the cause of some people saying
"setup crashes" because you end up with a blank screen and no message
about what's happening.  (In liquid theme, the screen goes to white
while XMLTV is doing its work).  If zap2it takes a long time, I can
understand someone not knowing to ALT-TAB to the console to see what
it's waiting for and thinking it crashed.  I was going to cover this
in the HOWTO, but we all know that some people don't read docs.

Isaac committed a fix for this - you may want to update CVS again and
see if it still happens.
