[mythtv] cvs - ok, what changed with recorded stuff?

so after my little goofup with xmltv, I upgraded to myth cvs and now the
routines that mythweb uses to get at recorded (and conflict-related)
shows doesn't seem to work right.

I've been thinking about getting at this info straight from the database
(as opposed to going through the backend), but am wondering of Thor had
a reason for grabbing this straight from the backend.

Anyway, right now it seems that a bunch of mythweb is broken (both the
old one and mine), any help would be great.
