[mythtv] Buffering in Live TV

I'm seeing what I guess is buffering problems in Live TV.  The video and 
audio stutter just enough to be annoying.  It is mainly noticeable on 
news channels with text scrolling on the screen a lot, which tend to be 
the channels I watch live.  If I pause it for just a second, things are 
much better, so I'm guessing that extra second is just enough to keep 
the buffer filled.  Of course, I might be way off base since I've been 
unable to decipher the code, try as I might.  Is there somewhere I could 
increase the amount of buffering in Live TV?
