[mythtv] playback window too big

I just installed mythtv-0.7, and everything works great except....

I have my X server running at 640x480. When I go to watch tv or
playback a recording, the window that mythtv opens for video playback
is 705x528, so the bottom and right of the picture get cut off. I
checked this using xwininfo to get the dimensions of the playback
window. This isn't an overscan problem. Its that the window is larger
than the X screen size.

Does anyone else have this problem? What controls the size of the
playback window? As an experiment I set X to run at 800x600, and then 
the playback window opened at something slightly larger than 800x600,
again cutting off the bottom and right.

Other than this problem I have to say "Damn! I'm impressed!". This thing
works great.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
