[mythtv] Is there a way to string together different hard drives for storage in MyThTV?

Probably about the same, but what the heck do I know... Comparing the two
is sort of like trying to make an even comparison between a Hammer and a
Stapler. You use LVM when you want flexibility. RAID is more for
performance or redundancy. As for read and write performance, you'll
probably see that things come out to be about the same. LVM is clearly
more flexible, which in this case is probably what you're going for. Most
of the work is done during encoding and decoding, not disk read and write.
Using a high performance file system for a PVR is like using a Lamborghini
to tow a semi-trailer... That all being said, you stand a better than 
average chance of losing anything that isn't on a disk volume that isn't 
mirrored somehow (think RAID 1).
