Hi,
the problem is not with the msp3400.c file. Or maybe it's somewhere in
there, but it's triggered by the way the msp3400 is called. There's a
patch on the ivtv-devel list that fixes it. Look for Anduin's post
there.
The reason why the pre-halloween drivers won't work is a change in ioctl
calls between 0.12 and 0.13. You can patch the drivers to use the new
ioctl, but getting Jens Axboe's 031118A and the aew patch (maybe you's
also like David Engel's pvr patch posted on this list) is a better bet.
