[mythtv] Unable to run mythtv binary

Hey Isaac,
Having a short problem with running MythTV. Installation is good and
filling the database is good. Can run mythepg and mythfrontend with no
problems. However, when trying to start mythtv, i get the error below:
Probed: Television
Probed: Composite1
Probed: S-Video
Probed: Composite3
Changing from None to WatchingLiveTV
strange error flushing buffer ...
Couldn't find Xv support, exiting

I am starting mythtv from a command prompt and receive back a command
prompt after error. Also, I can hear noise from the speakers like the
TV is working just no picture. The picture flashes on the screen for a
second and then dies.

Hardware:
Abit BP6
Dual Celeron 400
256 MB SDRAM
Riva TNT
WinTV-Go

Xawtv works properly. Any ideas?
