[mythtv] Window Manager

I can get MythTV to work ok with the other window managers, but not with
my ir remote.

I have licrc-0.6.6 up and running. If I am in kde it works fine but if I
just start X and start a window manager(twm, wmaker, etc..) and the
licrc's irxevent program. The irxevent does not send the keys to the
current xwindow.

I can get irxevent to work in KDE, am I missing something?

Has any body got a box to boot without a keyboard and mouse and just
start X and MythTV with a ir remote?
