 Continuing from comment 39

 The unpatched 'All Recordings' screen has static thumbnails against each
 entry. These are black with the patch.

 Same screen, unpatched shows format as Video for h264, MPEG2-PS for
 processed, MPEG2-TS for raw.  All are shown as Video with patch.  As
 expected.

 Patch treats 'us' differently from 'ca' and 'mx'   I suppose 'us' is the
 only one tested.

 ...but I don't think any previously working playback has been broken, for
 me.
