 I have this same problem using 0.23.1+fixes26437-0ubuntu1 (mythtv).
 When I try to Watch live TV, I get logged out. MythTV does record about 3
 seconds
 worth of mpeg video in my livetv folder - I can view that fine (audio,
 video good)

 I have the latest NVIDIA 260.19.36 drivers on an NVIDIA 9500 GS card,
 on Ubuntu 10.10 (Linux-x86_64). I don't see anything of not in dmesg.log
 and Xorg.0.log

 What do I look for? Are there settings to get around this problem?
