 I'll post my logs tonight when I get back home.  Perhaps they can shed
 some light.  I'm also using usleep w/ busy wait.  I don't have the layout
 that you have for the RTC.  Fedora Core 6 uses this: /proc/sys/dev/hpet
 /max-user-freq and I recall that when doing that "echo 1024" into it, myth
 still wouldn't use RTC.
