[mythtv-users] Building mythtv from source. venv?

I'm confused.  I have had good luck building Mythtv from source for
multiple Linux distro using the cmake method.

I've also built the mythtv-light .deb package for Debian 13 using cmake.

All of this works for me as far as recording TV from my Over-the-Air
antenna via a HDHomeRun networked tuner. I can playback via mythfrontend on
a PC or Leanfront on an Android streaming device.

Now what I'm confused about is the updated Wiki for Mythtv Build from
Source page and the Ansible readme page on github.

Both pages mention using and building mythtv in a virtual environment for
the python apps in mythtv.

Since I have not done any of the venv stuff and I'm getting no error during
the cmake run, what is not working for me? Are there parts of mythtv that
would not work on my system because I didn't build with the venv?
