I think it always happens when starting Live TV. The zero byte recording is
removed automatically. I do not see this when starting a normal recording.
What I understand that happens is that Live TV tries to see if it actually
can receive the channel and if that succeeds it starts the real recording.
The first attempt does generate the zero byte recording.
It is something that should be fixed but the logic of Live TV is
challenging and we are generally glad that it works at all.
