There was really no comparison between the RadioSure database and the
radio-browser one. The first one was completely crowd sourced but with
moderators checking the changes to the database. It was fast moving with
dozens of changes committed per day. It meant any problems or
inconsistencies could be fixed quickly. On the other hand the
radio-browser dev until quite recently would not allow anyone other than
the stream owner to fix anything so the DB was a complete mess, may
still be I haven't checked recently, with lots of inconsistencies and
duplicate streams because often the only way to fix any errors was to
re-add a stream. Thankfully the dev has finally relented and kind of now
allows streams to be added or edited by anyone but only if you have a
gitlab login. There is a fairly good API that could easily be used by
MythMusic to replace the existing stream DB if anyone is interested (I
wont hold my breath).
