Jim my $0.02 is that chop-n-change distros, while fun, is doubly complicated wrt building packages.
Mail me if you want a consise method for building a yum-zypper rpm repo or an apt-repo that Ive used only on ubuntu
I’ve also go old not-used recently arch package build
