web app gets the icons from .mythtv/channels. They are placed there by mythfilldatabase.



There is a hidden storage group called "ChannelIcons" that points to that directory.




mythweb gets them from data/tv_icons in the mythweb directory. I don't know how they get there.



Check these directories and see if you can locate the discrepancy. I suspect that mythfilldatabase was run under a different user id or on a different machine from mythbackend, or something like that.

Found a .mythtv/channels folder that was filled with icons, copied them all to ~/.mythtv/channels for the mythtv user an, lo and behold, the icons now show up in the program guide.


Looks like I normally run mythfilldatabase as root - my bad, I’ll fix that 😀
