[mythtv-users] Odd rewriting of program length

Sorry for the multiple messages, but I may have found out what's going
on. In this theory, neither my local myth nor SchedulesDirect is
misbehaving. But our local ABC station is, slipping infomercials into
their schedule at the last minute and cutting off regular shows in the
middle. Since this doesn't show on the schedule much in advance, but
happens regularly, they may be deliberately making it hard to tell
what they are doing. According to the programs table here's what
played at 8:30 (UTC) when Castle was cut off:
| 20701 | 2021-05-23 08:30:00 | 2021-05-23 09:00:00 | Paid Program |

Would the info in programs have to come through SchedulesDirect, or
can myth get it OTA? I thought picking one excluded the other, though
it would be handy to be able to get late adjustments for, e.g., sports
games that run over, OTA.

This would make the 2nd SF Bay Area station I've found butchering
their shows. The local CBS affiliate was in the habit of broadcasting
Face the Nation for 30 minutes, even though it's a 60 minute show!
(They usually broadcast the other half ~ 12 hours later!). Maybe we
should be thankful they haven't done it to 60 Minutes!
