Hello,

Mythtv 30.0+fixes20210328.git7d297b1fb8-dm00+deb10u1 from
deb-multimedia, on debian 10/stable (up to date).

I tried to import a CD into mythmusic (Advanced -> Music Tools -> Import
CD) and it says: "Scanning CD. Please Wait..." but nothing ever
happens. The blue bar doesn't move and I get this:

2021-05-17 12:52:40.765618 E  MythMusic hasn't found any tracks!
2021-05-17 12:52:40.767498 W  MythMusic hasn't found any radio streams!
2021-05-17 12:52:40.822569 I  Locking input devices
2021-05-17 12:52:40.822583 N  Suspending idle timer
2021-05-17 12:52:40.941577 I  Unlocking input devices
2021-05-17 12:52:40.941582 N  Resuming idle timer
QIODevice::read (QNetworkReplyHttpImpl): device not open
QNetworkReplyImplPrivate::error: Internal problem, this method must only be called once.
QIODevice::read (QNetworkReplyHttpImpl): device not open

The last 2 lines repeat every few minutes.

The interface is totally non-responsive and when closing from ths X on
the frame (frontend started with -w) the window manager says
"Application "mythfrontend" is not responding" and it's only possible to
kill it by "Terminate Application mythfrontend".

My first thought was: permissions problem, but I run the backend as
myself and I am a member of group cdrom, as is mythtv.

$ ls -l /dev/cdrom*
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 3 May 17 12:53 /dev/cdrom -> sr0

$ ls -l /dev/sr*
brw-rw----+ 1 root cdrom 11, 0 May 17 12:53 /dev/sr0

Tried with 2 CDs, with identical results, so it's not the CD.
Tried with sudo mythfrontend... , same problem, so it's not permissions.

Is this a known issue? Has anyone encountered this before?
Any hints, anyone?

Thanks.

Augustine
