That seems quite likely.  Here's my version of that (but in el7 and for 
cifs).  All one line.

//192.168.1.209/JP_NAS2 /mnt/nas2a cifs 
credentials=/home/john/.smbcrednas2,iocharset=utf8,gid=1000,uid=1000,vers=3.0,file_mode=0777,dirmode=0777 
0 0

But I haven't used the NAS as a recordings drive.
