I am in the same situation here (DVB-C instead of DVB-T). My fibre 
provider streams tv threw a customized Zattoo app, only available on 
Apple TV or Android. I have not found a way to record this kind of 
streams (there was an attempt on Kodi some time ago).

Other providers stream in other formats, that eventually can be recorded 
(search for m3u and/or xspf).

I am not an expert but I will change the fibre provider in two months, 
so that I will have to reconfigure my MythTV system to be able to record 
IPTV very soon.
