Daryl,

This may be a problem at the OS level… If the disk is already mounted, mythtv may be upset that it can’t access the device directly.

Do the mount command with no arguments to see if the cd/dvd/bluray is already mounted and paste results, though you will be able to see yourself.

Mythtv *MIGHT* need it unmounted. Dunno though as I have given up on optical media except for importing movies! :-)
