It's most likely mythfilldatabase adding all the channels in your lineup 
since you're likely using an "external tuner" capture device for which 
all information necessary to tune is provided by your listings 
provider.  This is done because it's assumed you only have in your 
channel lineup those channels you can actually get (as opposed to 
wasting bandwidth/processing effort downloading listings for channels 
you don't get).  Ideally you only select those channels in your lineup 
that you can actually receive/that you actually want.  However, you can 
tell mythfilldatabase to ignore new channels (which is especially useful 
after you've already removed unwanted channels from your lineup but your 
cable company adds new ones that aren't in your package).  How to do so 
depends on which listings grabber you're using.
